The Battles Begin
Here begins the Spiritual Battles part of my testimony. I am not writing this to glorify myself. I do not claim to have all the answers to life's heavy situations, but I am sharing this with You with the hope that some of You might gain some helpful knowledge on how to better deal with surprise attacks in the spiritual realm and other trials in the physical realm. Even though I am "Glad I'm Saved", [I truly REJOICE that I am Saved!!!] things have NOT been all "happy happy joy joy" since then.
Through it all, I have found out who my TRUE friends in Christ are. For those of You who are still there and who still communicate with me in spite of the things that I have been through in the past, let me take this opportunity to give you a heartfelt and genuine THANK YOU - You have helped me much more than I can every repay You back. For You new friends, here is an opportunity for You to know more about me.
Confession of My Newfound Salvation
I left out the part about when I got home from The Church after that awesome altar call, before I threw my cigarettes in the trash. That night, I went up to my husband and said, "Cowboy, I want You to know that I have just made Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior." He looked at me angrily, nostrils flaring, and growled under his breath, "YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE. I HATE THEM!" I looked at him and said, "Yeah, and now I ARE ONE.” I then asked, “Does that mean that You hate ME?" and I turned and walked out of the room.
Nothing further was brought up about it. I continued going to Church every chance I could get - I literally sucked everything up like a sponge, since it was all so NEW to me. I really learned a lot from Pastor Rocco. When I wasn't in church, I had my nose buried in the Bible, online reading about Scripture, doing personal Bible studies, or in a book written about Scripture. I am very fortunate to go to a Church that broadcasts its Sunday morning services on the radio. If for some rare reason that I cannot make it to Church, I can always listen to the worship and Pastor Rocco’s preaching over the airwaves on Sunday morning on station WKHB 620 AM at 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.; and also on WANB 103.1 FM from 8:00 to 9:30 in the southwestern Pennsylvania listening area. That radio program is the next best thing to being there. You ought to tune into it sometime, hopefully WKHB or WANB airs in Your neck of the woods. And now i am happy to say that i record and upload all the sermons to my Church’s website, thechurchofsutersville.com. just go to the “sermons” page, click the word “link” and you can download it to your computer to listen to at your convenience.
